Founder and Executive Director

Keena Trapps

I truly enjoy working with The Widow's Pantry preparing, planning, and coordinating our volunteer service and events.  I recognize  God's purpose and plan for my life, and that is why I work hard to ensure excellence in what I do. My heart is warmed when I see the smiles on the faces of those we just served food, gave some clothing, or encouraged with prayer and our witnessing.

President

Minister Ronald Greenfield

There is a new face on The Widow’s Pantry Executive Board.  However, he is not new to The Widow’s Pantry and has been a major supporter for many years. Some volunteers got to hear from him for the first time at our annual 2-Mile Walk for the Homeless in September.

Minister Ronald Greenfield is our newly-elected President with The Widow’s Pantry Board.  Minister Greenfield is married to the lovely Venus Greenfield, and they have six children and 15 grandchildren.  Mrs. Greenfield is excited about her husband’s new position and is looking forward to coming out to serve God’s people with love in the park with us. Minister Greenfield has been working in this position for almost four months.  He has taken the role of President by leaps and bounds.  His first order of business was assisting with our goal to purchase the cargo van.  He comes with a vision to take us to the next level with serving, team building and advancing the Kingdom of God.  He has said many times, “I am a preacher first.”  Let’s keep him in prayer as God uses him daily and uses him with The Widow’s Pantry.

She always makes sure her mind is clear, and her heart is open to care for others with a spirit of love and humility. Kathy says "she is obligated to treat the homeless with courtesy and to thank them for coming out to see us."

Her favorite scripture is Proverbs 31:20 (New Living Translation), “She extends a helping hand to the poor and opens her arms to the needy.” Kathy attends Rejoice Bible Church in Hyattsville, Maryland where Martin D. Odom is the Pastor.
