Good morning Widows Pantry Supporters and Friends,
This is a friendly reminder that we are serving at Franklin Square Park on Saturday, February 9, 2019 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM.
We will meet on K Street between 13th and 14th Streets. We are serving a Thanksgiving Meal early this month. Please bring change for the parking meters.
Everyone volunteering should stop by the Admin Table to sign in and get a name tag before you volunteer. First time volunteers must complete a waiver form and volunteer application and take a 5-minute orientation before you volunteer.
We are in a desperate need for clean men seasonal clothing. You can bring your donation to the park at our Admin table and receive a tax-deductible receipt.
What You Can Donate And Bring: FOOD-We are in need of donations of tossed salad, rolls, bottled water. fresh fruit and individually wrapped snacks. Snacks can consist of chips, and fruit cups, cookies, pastries. Contact The Widow's Pantry on (202) 723-6839, if you would like to bring anything from our menu or make a donation for our menu.
CLEAN OR NEW CLOTHING FOR the summer season - We are asking for donations of new women underwear sizes 6, 7, 8, and 9, socks for men and women, casual shirts and pants, jeans, flat shoes, tennis shoes, and tee shirts, Please ensure clothes are clean and something you would wear. We are not able to accept bed linen, towels, small appliances and clothes that are not seasonal due to the limit of our storage space.
BIBLES-We are in need of Christian Bibles in English, Asian and Spanish. We prefer new bibles and bibles in good condition.
DONATIONS-If you would like to make a tax-deductible monetary donation you may do so at the Admin table. Make checks payable to The Widow's Pantry, Inc. You may also receive a receipt for donated clothing from our Admin table. Also, monetary donations can also be made at our web site www.widowspantry.org via Pay Pal.
